Abstract
The levels of chlorinated pesticide residues in the meal and oil samples were, with the exception of oil sample from Lake Michigan alewife, below the regulatory tolerances established by the Food and Drug Directorate of Canada (1965) for certain foods (including many crops and the fat of cattle, hogs, and sheep) intended for human consumption. It is unlikely that the pesticide residues in raw fish or in meals would present any problem in relation to the use of fish and fish products in animal feed. Keywords
