Abstract
The problem is resolved into two steps, one involving heat generation and transport, and the other conduction. A numerical and graphical method for solving the problem is given. As an illustrative example, the isothermals for cold extrusion through a smooth square die with a 66.7 per cent. reduction are found. The results are compared with the (analytical) solution obtained when conduction is neglected.Keywords
