Hydrochlorothiazide-Dependent Thrombocytopenia Due to IgM Antibody

Abstract
A case of immune thrombocytopenic purpura is found due to ingestion of hydrochlorothiazide. To our knowledge, this is the first case of drug-induced purpura in which the responsible circulating factor, presumably an antibody, has been identified as a macroglobulin.
