Abstract
Living material of Exidia nucleata was stained with the HCl-Giemsa technique for observations of nuclear behavior in the basidium. The study represents the first cytological examination of a member of the Tremellaceae with the technique. Previous reports indicated that the haploid number of chromosomes for Exidia nucleata was four; the results achieved in this study revealed that the haploid number is between 10 and 12.Keywords
