Abstract
DELICIOUS apples were grown from planting for 4 yr with daily trickle irrigation after the 1st year with 272 cm less water applied than applied to daily sprinkler-irrigated trees and 186 cm less than applications to 2-wk sprinkled trees. Trickle-irrigated trees produced fruit earlier and made equal growth. Irrigations were scheduled from lysimeters, evaporation and gravi-metric sampling. Keywords
