Abstract
The ability of 6-mercapto-purine to suppress immune responses in rabbits was tested by observing the effect of this drug on antibody formation following the injection of ll31 labelled human serum albumin. It was found that a dose of 6 mg/kg/day of 6-mercaptopurine given for 2 weeks completely suppressed the primary response. Below that dose only partial inhibition of the primary response was obtained. The secondary response was only slightly affected by 6 mg/kg/day.Keywords
