Abstract
Summary: (1) The various methods by which material has been. obtained for histological examination of the stomach are briefly discussed.(2) The advantages and limitations of blind biopsy, using a flexible gastric biopsy tube, are set forth.(3) Cases are presented in which biopsy has been used and three representative tvpes illustrated.(4) Photomicrographs from sections of these biopsy specimens are proffered as proof of the adequacy of the material, and the importance and value of differential stains is pointed out.Keywords
