Abstract
In the present Rapid Communication, we report the discovery of a rotational band in and possibly one in that can be interpreted as arising from superdeformed shapes. The moments of inertia, and , of these bands are similar to those measured in the Ce-Nd region, once the mass dependence is removed. This implies a deformation . If so, this is the third mass region where superdeformed bands have been found at high spins.
