Abstract
This paper reports some experiments with the parallel implementation on a distributed memory parallel system of a domain decomposition method for solving nonlinear elasticity problems. The Newton algorithm is used for the nonlinearity. At each iteration of the Newton algorithm, a linearized problem has to be solved. The solution of the linearized problems is computed via the dual Schur complement method. The dual Schur complement method is accelerated via a preconditioning procedure using the direction vectors computed for the solution of the previous linearized problems.Keywords
