Abstract
During a synthetic project, it became necessary to mask the acidity and the nucleophilicity of the 1,l-dicarboalkoxy group in the presence of an aldehyde group. It became evident to us that the l,l,l-triester group would be the functionality of choice for this purpose. Keywords
