Abstract
The vitamin A value of the milk is entirely dependent on the diet of the cow. While the diet may exert a small influence on the vitamin D value of the milk, the important factor here is exposure to sunshine. Milk contains the maximum amount of vitamins A and D when the cow is out at pasture in summer. Butter made from milk possessing antirachitic potency preserved this property when frozen for more than 2 yrs.This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
