Abstract
A total of 6,155 chem. compounds tested for insecticidal properties have been dealt with in published and unpublished reports. The constituent chemical groupings present in these compounds have been studied in relation to the results of the toxicity tests. Certain of these groups are regularly associated with high toxicity, while others are associated with low toxicity. The findings are presented as a guide to workers who are interested in the synthesis of compounds of insecticidal value. Keywords
