Abstract
Commercially available ingredients of lures used for the Japanese beetle, Popillia japonica Newman, were analyzed by gas chromatography. Samples of eugenol and anethole were at least 95% pure, but those of geraniol varied widely in composition. This variation undoubtedly accounts for the erratic performance of the geraniol-containing lures. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
