Reappearance of Childhood Tuberculous Meningitis in Sweden

Abstract
Tuberculous meningitis has not been reported in children born in Sweden for 25 years. A case is here reported that was diagnosed in 1977, two years after the discontinuance of routine BCG vaccination of newborn children in this country. The patient was a 2-year-old boy, previously healthy. His parents were Swedish-born. The source of infection was unknown.
