Abstract
A critical evaluation of the technological development and studies of mechanisms of flow in twin screw extruders is presented. We include (i) intermeshing counter‐rotating twin screw machines, (ii) tangential counter‐rotating twin screw extruders, and (iii) intermeshing corotating twin screw machines.Keywords
