Abstract
In the previous paper, (Part I)(1), the results were presented of an investigation of heat transfer to non‐boiling falling films of water in an electrically heated copper tube of 0.948‐in. i.d. and 8‐ft. long. Comparative measurements of heat transfer in full tube flow were also given, and the effect of a simple swirl‐type turbulence promoter was studied for both full tube and film‐type flow. The present paper presents the results of an investigation of boiling heat transfer in the same apparatus. Keywords
