Use and Abuse of Topical Steroids

Abstract
Review of the history of topical steroid treatment, explaining the high acceptance and discussing the complications. Special attention is drawn to the fact that – though extremely rare – sensitization to various steroids is described. In 1 patient cross-sensitization occurred against six different corticosteroids, all fluorinated.
