Abstract
In expts. at Twin Falls, Idaho, 1945-47, Thrips tabaci was economically controlled by various liquid sprays. Five applications were made during July in 1945 and 1946, but in 1947,3 gave satisfactory re-sults. DDT and nicotine sulfate combined in the same spray was superior, at the strengths tested, to either DDT or nicotine sulfate alone or to tartar emetic. Promising results were obtained with benzene hexachloride, chlordane, chlorinated camphene, and a mixture of DDT and hexaethyl tetraphosphate; methoxychlor was relatively ineffective. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
