Abstract
Dirac fields in a Riemannian space-time are calculated according to coincidence (type II) or non-coincidence (type I) of two null directions. Type-II fields are then analysed in detail with the help of the Newman-Penrose (NP) formalism. Conditions on the associated energy-momentum tensors are obtained for the various subclasses of the type-II fields. Keywords
