Abstract
Immunization of rabbits with a tyrosine-phosphorylated v-abl protein resulted in the production of antibodies for the v-abl protein and for phosphotyrosine. The antiphosphotyrosine antibodies could be purified by affinity chromatography with O-phosphotyramine coupled to Sepharose. These antibodies detected a variety of tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins, including receptors for peptide growth factors. The usefulness of these antibodies was demonstrated by the detection of previously unidentified tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins in v-src-, v-abl-, and v-erbB-transformed cell lines. This publication has 28 references indexed in Scilit:
