Abstract
In dogs plethysmograph records of the changes in volume of the kidney, brought about by various drugs and diuretics, were made simultaneously with measurements (Rein''s Thermo-Stromuhr method) of the blood flow in the renal artery or vein. Increase in volume was invariably accompanied by increase in blood flow and vice versa. In 2 dogs removal of 1 kidney from circulation appeared to have no effect on the blood flow to the other kidney in a period of 3 hrs. In 2 dogs the blood flow to a kidney transplanted to the neck seemed to be about that of the intact kidney. Glucose, Na2SO4 and epinephrine had the same effect on the blood flow to the transplanted kidney as on that to the normal kidney. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
