Abstract
Summary A group of patients with high risk pregnancies, including previous caesarean sections, had labour induced with vaginal pessaries containing 3 mg of prostaglandin E2. No maternal or fetal complications were encountered and the caesarean section rate was 9 per cent. With modern standards of obstetric care, patients. with high risk pregnancies can safely have labour induced by this methodKeywords
