Abstract
Primary squamous cell carcinoma of the nasal septum is a rare disease which can be slowly progressive or a rapidly growing, anaplastic tumor which metastasizes early. A new case is reported. The patients usually present with a sore or growth in the nose, hemorrhage, or obstruction. The lesion must be differentiated from basal cell carcinoma of the nasal vestibule and many benign and malignant lesions which can involve the septum. Biopsy is the only means of obtaining a definitive diagnosis. Most primary lesions should be treated by surgical excision, but radiotherapy is very good treatment in selected cases and in conjunction with surgical treatment. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
