Abstract
The integrated intensities of the CC stretching vibrations are recorded for series of 2-substituted t-butyl- and phenyl-acetylenes. These intensities are related to the resonance effects of the substituents; such resonance interaction is shown to involve both the acetylene π-orbitals.Keywords
