Abstract
The reliability of the mode of carboxylate binding to ortho-phenylenediamine based bis-urea clefts is demonstrated in a variety of systems including a hydrogen bonded tape suggesting that this DDDD-AA supramolecular synthon may find application in crystal engineered systems in the future. Keywords
