Abstract
Adrenal venography has been attempted in 45 patients with obesity, hypertension, hirsutism, and/or diabetes. Catheteriza-tion of the left adrenal vein was successful in 43 of the 45 attempts and of the right in 26 of 43. Three patients had tumors, and 3 had hyper-plastic glands. The venous patterns in tumor and hyperplasia were easily distinguishable. The series demonstrates that once the technic of catheterization is mastered, the adrenal veins can be entered with sufficient regularity to make the method useful. It may be the best roentgen method available for investigating adrenal cortical hyper-function .This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
