Abstract
A 27-year-old, right-handed woman underwent intraoperative embolization for a left parasagittal arteriovenous malformation as part of a two stage plan that included subsequent surgical resection of the arteriovenous malformation. This report describes the neurological syndrome that developed after the first procedure. The relation of these deficits to localization of function within the supplementary motor area are correlated with recent advances in our understanding of this region. Keywords
