The dielectric triode: a low-noise solid-state amplifier

Abstract

Current fluctuations in the space-charge-limited dielectric triode are discussed. It is shown that the noise power level in this device is considerably less than in the space-charge-limited vacuum triode or in the diffusion limited transistor.
