Abstract
Tested the hypothesis that the EMG gradient can be increased by raising the incentives in a task. Also investigated the effects of difficulty and goal structuring. "Results indicated that incentive was the primary factor in raising the EMG gradient. Shape of gradients was invariant with the amount of muscular effort required for performance." 27 references.
