Abstract
A method for recording the liver circulation after the injection of small amounts of contrast medium in the thoracic aorta of the dog is described. A roentgen source was placed under the animal, and the reduced intensity of radiation which occurred when the medium passed through the liver, was recorded electrokymographically. A curve with 2 maxima was thus obtained, the first showing the response to the circulation in the hepatic artery, the other being caused by the circulation in the portal circuit. The possibility of obtaining an expression for the circulation time in the hepatic artery and in the portal circulation is discussed. Keywords
