Abstract
Summary Pure venoms from Apis dorsata, A. florea and A. indica (cerano) were collected and analysed for the first time, and compared with venoms from European and U.S. strains of Apis mellifera. The high toxicity attributed to A. dorsata venom could not be confirmed. Taxonomic relationships between the venoms are discussed. Keywords
