Abstract
An adiabatic demagnetization cryostat has been modified to include a second hyperfine enhanced nuclear cooling stage with PrCu6 as the working material. The details of the desgin are given and the performance of the cryostat is discussed. The reliability of 60CoFe and 60CoNi nuclear orientation thermometers are critically evaluated. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
