Abstract
✓ A simultaneous continuous recording of intraventricular and cervical subarachnoid cerebrospinal fluid pressures was made in each of 20 patients who were comatose or decerebrate. All patients with a pressure gradient greater than 10 mm Hg died and at autopsy were found to have evidence of severe transtentorial and/or tonsillar herniation. Keywords
