Abstract
The complete single crystal Raman spectra of K3Mn(CN)6 and the Raman spectrum of an aqueous solution of this compound were recorded at room temperature. The number of lines with low wave numbers makes it possible to exclude a crystal structure composed solely of unit cells with the monoclinic space group C. All spectral data are in agreement with space group D. An OD‐structure can not be ruled out, but no positive evidence has been found for it. In the solution Raman spectrum all Raman active vibrations of the free ion are observed. Keywords
