Abstract
The large granularity of communication and coherence inshared virtual memory systems causes problems with falsesharing and extra communication. Relaxed memory consistencymodels have been used to alleviate these problems, butat a cost in programming complexity. Release Consistency(RC) and Lazy Release Consistency (LRC) are accepted tooffer a reasonable tradeoff between performance and programmingcomplexity. Entry Consistency (EC) offers a morerelaxed consistency model, but it requires...Keywords
