Abstract
Four cases of meningitis due to Coccidioides immitis are reported in detail. These cases emphasize the chronicity of this form of meningitis, its resistance to therapy and the effect of the antibiotic actidione. Following the use of actidione the disease underwent a remission in one case for a period of 7 months, suggesting a possible beneficial effect from this form of therapy. Keywords
