Abstract
Inhibition of the growth of gram-negative bacteria, espe-cially Bacterium proleus, to permit recovery of concomitant gram-positive cocci was readily accomplished by addition of 0.01% Na azide to the medium. The practical aspects in relation to the study of fecal bacteriology are discussed. Keywords
