Deformations of Be Isotopes Studied with Skyrme Hartree-Fock Method

Abstract
Neutron rich Be isotopes are studied with the Skyrme Hartree-Fock method, where single particle wave functions are discretized on a three-dimensional rectangular mesh. The total binding energies are reproduced reasonably well with the Skyrme SIII force. Strongly deformed solutions are obtained in the low excitations for 11Be ∼13Be around the N = 8 neutron closed shell.
