Abstract
The regulation of cholesterol esterification and hydrolysis of cholesteryl esters in the adrenal cortex appear to be complementary to eachother. The esterification of cholesterol, catalysed by acyl-CoA:cholesterol acyltransferase, is regulated in a different manner in the adrenal compared with the liver. Keywords
