Abstract
The Roter Kamm Crater in Southwest Africa is a highly probable meteorite impact crater of some antiquity. It is about 1.5 miles across, making it the third‐largest young probable meteorite crater in the world. Roter Kamm has a presumably thick desert‐sand fill. It is now 400 feet deep below its rim and 100 feet deep below the regional Archean terrane. The high circularity, regional uniqueness and other aspects all point to a meteoritic origin.
