Abstract
The distribution function of a relativistic perfect gas embedded in an external force field is derived in the case of an electromagnetic or a classical mesonic field. As a consequence, the corresponding forms of the relativistic Debye-Hückel laws are obtained in a manifestly covariant way. The covariant Debye-Hückel law may lead to simple kinetic equations for a relativistic plasma. Keywords
