Abstract
T. clareae survived in cages with adulees of A. mellifera up to 25 h and with A. cerana up to 27 h. On A. dorsata, the maximum life span was 57 h. In an empty glass vial, the mites lived for 30 h. In similar vials with a pupa of A. mellifera they survived for more than 5 days. Dead T. clareae collected from the A. dorsata experiments showed injuries which were apparently caused by the biting of A. dorsata bees. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
