Abstract
Chemodectomas of the nasopharynx are rare tumors, but they should be considered when profuse hemorrhage is encountered in a nasopharyngeal mass. Their origin is considered to be the nodose ganglion of the vagus nerve. Recommended therapy for symptomatic patients is surgical excision with appropriate precautions to control the hemorrhage. Two patients with this lesion are discussed. Keywords
