Abstract
At Amsterdam airport an experiment was performed with the help of sixteen approach controllers in order to determine variation in strategies in establishing a landing sequence for a number of planes under different manoeuvring conditions. Static data displays were used. The results indicate that variation in strategy is dependent on variation in the flight progress data of the planes, on the existing manoeuvring conditions in the air space and on certain personality traits of the controller. Keywords
