A Survey of Extended Sources of Radio Emission

Abstract
A survey of the whole sky north of δ = −05° has been carried out at 178 Mc/s and has been analysed for extended sources within prescribed limits of brightness temperature and flux density. A catalogue of these is presented and the relation of the sources to extragalactic objects and to objects within the galaxy such as H II regions and supernova remnants is discussed. The problem of those sources which have not been identified with optical features is considered.
