A STUDY OF THE SEX CHROMOSOMES IN THE MOUSE

Abstract
The sex chromosomes of dds mice were investigated in testicular and spleen cells in males and in spleen in females with the application of an air-drying method. The X is the largest telocentric element, being almost always distinguishable from the largest autosomal pair, while the Y is indicated as a heteropycnotic and nearly telocentric 1 ranking in the 3 smallest chromosomes in male cells.
