Abstract
The excitation of the parasitic parallel-plate line mode at conductor-backed coplanar MMIC discontinuities and package feed-throughs is analyzed. The basic mechanism is investigated and a simplified description is presented. The model is validated by comparison to 3D Finite-Difference results.Keywords
