Transpiration of Snapdragon under Southern Summer Greenhouse Conditions1

Abstract
Snapdragon (Antirrhinum majus, L.) cultivars grown at various humidity, temperature, and light intensity levels during the summer differed in transpiration rates. Daily transpiration rates among the cultivars differed according to stomatal closure and leaf hydration on bright hot days. Cultivars having a low transpiration rate and a high relative leaf hydration produced higher quality cut flowers.
