Abstract
Hunger was at times felt by the author in absence of gastric hunger contractions and at other times contractions could be felt when there was no hunger, indicating a central rather than a gastric origin of the urge to eat. The common tendency to refer the origin of hunger to the stomach is due to association of this urge with sensations caused by contractions; dissociation of these 2 elements can be seen in fasting. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
