Insects trapped by the pollinial apparatus of milkweed, Asclepias syriaca L., in Dunn Township, Ontario

Abstract
Fifty insects trapped in flowers of A. syriaca and collected on July 22, 1967, in Dunn Township, Ontario, included a beetle, Ellychnia sp.; the moth Cissipes fulvicollis; the butterfly Thymelicus lineola; the flies Syritta pipiens, Sphaerophoria robusta, Paregle radicum, Musca autumnalis, Pollenia rudis, Lucilia illustris, Bufolucilia silvarum, Wohlfahrtia vigil, Helicobia rapax, Ravinia sp., and Cylindromyia sp.; the ant Formica fusca; and the honeybee Apis mellifica.
